Salary: Pay Band 5 (fte £24362 - £26073) dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent, term time plus one week
Hours of Work: 22.5 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 3.45pm with an hour for lunch
Friday 8.30am to 12.15pm

Would you like to be part of our friendly and busy school office team? We are looking to appoint a Finance Assistant to join our team. This post will play a key role in supporting the School Bursar in various administrative and financial tasks. As well as to deliver a happy, caring and efficient finance and administrative service to our school and wider community.

Solent Infant School is part of The De Curci Trust based locally in Drayton. The Trust is currently comprised of Solent Infant School, Solent Junior School and Springfield Secondary School. Here at Solent Infant School we have a good reputation locally for providing a nurturing and supportive environment to both the children and families alike, as well as within the local community.

We are looking to appoint someone:
• with a friendly disposition, who is flexible and adaptable
• to be a welcoming and professional ambassador to our school
• who is a confident communicator both in person and on the phone
• enjoys working within a team
• will be dedicated to the needs of the school and most importantly, the children
• who has the ability to operate in a highly organised manner to cope with the demands of a busy school office where attention to detail and confidentiality are paramount
• is highly motivated with attention to detail
• has the ability to remain calm and work under pressure at times
• is self-motivated to multi task, prioritise and manage their work load without supervision
• who has good IT skills with knowledge of microsoft word and excel
• previous experience of working in a school environment and knowledge of SIMS/ARBOR and HCSS (Access) is desirable, but not essential
• who is committed to the security and safeguarding arrangements according to school policy
• with a good sense of humour
• who has Maths and English qualifications to at least level 2

However, as you will be appointed to The De Curci Trust, you may be required to work in any of The De Curci Trust’s academies or in any of the schools/academies that the Trust is supporting as reasonably directed by the CEO. The ability to travel independently between DCT academies/schools is therefore essential.
